The time has come to make your voice heard. Stand with your countrymen, with one voice. Put your energy and efforts into an organization that seeks action, not talk. Together, we can fight the criminality and abuse to our fisheries sector that has so long been unaddressed. Together, we can change the culture.
We seek to have representatives from your island. As a member, it is up to you to vote on who will represent you to the NFA as a director. Your representative will adovacate on your behalf on a national level. At present there are virtually no organizations fighting for the interests of fishermen. This is your chance to change that.
To combat entities violating the laws we must ALL abide by, whether it is from the private or public sector, you need legal representation. We will not just use our voices, but the laws of this land as our tools. The NFA has lawyers dedicated to fighting the cause, who will not only take legal actions deemed necessary by the Association, but also to help draft legislation to be presented to Government.
When you stand with us, your voice can't be ignored easily. We are agitating not for just ourselves, but for the soul of the nation. We are here to make real change. What can YOU do to contribute to the fight? How can you help your community?
As a member, you will have opportunities to attend conferences, training exercises, business advice, exposure to legal processes and policy, particpation in scientifc research and intelligence gathering. We want to help you use your voice and use it effectively.
We are in this fight together. We may be competitors and have had bad blood in the past, but when you come together to fight against evils that affect us all and our children, the spirit of comradery is vital.
